jmbad is a studio founded by Joseph Melka and Balthazar Auguste-Dormeuil in 2024.

We make architecture, but also furniture, exhibitions, objects, temporary things, speculative things. Some of them last. Some of them disappear. We try not to do the same thing twice. Our work often sits somewhere between disciplines, and our process leans heavily on making — drawing, building, testing, failing, trying again. We work with cultural institutions, municipalities, private clients, and the occasional friend. Every project is a collaboration, even the quiet ones.
